Employer Branding

Employer Branding

The GWC Valve International company is known for their employer branding and this means that when individuals are seeking for a new job opportunity online, they are one of the go-to businesses to apply to. They are proactive employers who have obtained a competitive advantage in recruitment since they have established themselves as the employers of choice. Employer branding serves a great purpose since once a job position from your company gets posted, it allows them to fill that position much quicker than another business therefore they wont need the help of recruitment agencies. Employer branding also allows you to attract people to your organization and apply to work there, which also earns loyalty for the current employees. Employer branding is the image or impression of an organization as an employer and this is based on the benefits they offer when you are employed at the organization.

This is one main reason that employers have different benefit packages that they offer to their employees. Think about it, when you are applying somewhere and plan to stay there for several years or even a decade, you already have a family or want to start one eventually and therefore this is why benefits are so important to employees. It allows you to be more comfortable at work not worrying about what ifs and allows you to be more motivated and productive.

There are steps to employer branding such as first defining the target audience, and these can either be the four generations, the underemployed, or the four employment equity groups. The second step is to develop the employee value proposition, which for example the employees can participate in green environmental initiatives, or you allow your employees to own stock at the organization. The third step involves being able to reinforce value proposition in communication meaning having an integrated marketing approach to internal and external communication using television, radio, websites, social media, print and so on.
